Dear Scottish Rite Brother
As someone with Scottish ancestry, I take great pride in occasionally wearing the kilt. Around the Jurisdiction, I have learned that I am not alone in this, in fact, I am often asked why the AASR does not have a tartan of its own. Why indeed? Some Grand Lodges have one. The General Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons International AND the General Grand Council of Cryptic Masons International, both YORK Rite organizations, have registered a tartan and make available kilts and accessories. So why don’t we?
I have created an online survey/petition to gauge true interest in a Scottish Rite tartan.
If you would like to see an "Official Tartan" for the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, please click on SCOTTISH RITE TARTANto fill out the petition before May 31, 2025.
The plan is to present the Sovereign Grand Commander with this petition at the New York Council of Deliberation’s Annual Convocation on June 6-7, 2025.

Rick
