200 Years of Scottish Rite Freemasonry in 33 Objects” is an introduction to the history of the Scottish Rite in the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction told using artifacts, documents, and images from the collection of the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum & Library in Lexington, Massachusetts. The presentation will touch on the roots of the Scottish Rite in New York in the 1760s, the founding of the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction in 1813, the introduction of theater-style ritual in the late 1800s, the expansion of membership in the twentieth century, and the Statement of Unity signed in 2022. Along the way, the audience will learn about some of the people and events that have shaped Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction over two centuries.
